Volunteer FAQ

Is volunteering paid?
FixNaija roles are civic contributions and are generally unpaid. Some specialised, time-heavy commissions may include a stipend โ€” these are agreed up front with your coordinator.
How much time do I need to give?
As much or as little as life allows. Many volunteers give a few hours a week; we also welcome per-task and per-event contributors, especially for monitoring, design and content.
I live abroad. Can I still help?
Absolutely โ€” and we need you. Most tech, design, data, writing and coordination work is fully remote. Select "Diaspora" when you apply.
I have no special skills. Is there a role for me?
Yes. The most important role of all is the Ward Organiser โ€” someone trusted in their community who can bring neighbours together. Showing up and caring is a skill.
How is my data handled?
Your information is used only to coordinate your volunteering. We never sell or share it with third parties, and you can request deletion at any time.
